Our Story
Hi, I'm Jaimie, a speech-language pathologist who spent nearly a decade in practice. Over those years, I worked with incredible clients, from children learning their first words to adults regaining their voices after injury.
But there was one part of my day I dreaded: writing my notes. As any clinician knows, documentation is essential, but it's also one of the most time-consuming and draining tasks. I found myself staying late, typing away long after my sessions ended, wishing I could spend that time with my family or preparing for the next day.
That's why I started this company: to create a tool that lightens the documentation load, helps providers reclaim their time, and keeps clinical judgment exactly where it belongs; with the clinician. As a female-founded and clinician-owned company, we're building SOAP-E with empathy, privacy, and practicality at the core.

We believe clinicians should spend less time on paperwork and more time doing what they love; helping people. Our mission is to support speech-language pathologists (and soon, more clinical disciplines) with tools that are secure, intuitive, and built with real-world practice in mind.

Jaimie ScarbelFounder & Speech Therapist
Jaimie has a background in speech pathology. She has clinical experience working with early intervention (birth-21) and geriatrics. She has experience working in a variety of settings, including home health, private practice, schools, and SNFs. She has consulted on and interpreted results on MBSS and VFSS.
Ryan ScarbelCo-founder & Engineer
Ryan has a background in software engineering. He has worked in companies both large and small, and designed apps & features that get used by millions. He is an expert in security, building resilient systems, and has experience working in highly-regulated industries.
SOAP-E was created for clinicians, by a clinician, so documentation feels less like a burden and more like a breeze.
